About the Instigator,
April Lemly
Wild Color was founded by April Lemly, a professional artist and creative educator who brings a love of color, nature, and hands-on learning to every workshop.
As a working artist, April’s practice is inspired by flora, fauna, and expressive mark-making. As an educator, she has extensive experience working with children and understands how they learn best—through play, exploration, and creative freedom.
Her teaching approach is rooted in process-based art education, encouraging children to experiment, make choices, and build confidence in their own ideas. April believes art should feel joyful, accessible, and empowering, and leads every workshop with care, patience, and enthusiasm.
